We have now casted the show! After 200 auditions, we got our cast of 32! It was a trying process, and I learned SO much about auditioning, being on the OTHER side of the table. I think it will help me audition better in the future.
I even auditioned for ensemble and was so happy when the director cast me! As AD, I don't really have the time to be anything more in the show, but I still had to stand and audition like everyone else...and wait to be told if I was cast! It was actually one of the more nerve-wracking auditions. It was harder to audition in front of people I know and respect rather than a room of strangers I will never see again.
Rehearsals start in March and I can't wait! I still can't believe all of this is actually happening...
