I love this article because so many people gripe about how they didn't get a lead and are "banished" to the ensemble. Hey, at least you got into the show! Usually the ensemble parts are cast that way because they're the best dancers.
But, I digress.
I like this article because it tells a person to appreciate their role and still be serious about it, even though they might not be too happy.

I really liked this article because just starting off in my theatre career at a young age, I wasn't sure how to begin or how to get what I needed in order to become successful in later years. I found this article and it really helped me become a great actress because i gained confidence that anything is possible at a young age and you just have to take it step by step, get involved and just have fun with it. And now look at me, I'm Dorothy!!
I do like the chorus article too bassetluver589, I know exactly how you feel about that, and my Oz cast is having a hard time gripping that.

I liked this article because this is something that I have always wanted help with. When I was in high school I did shows with the school and on of my teachers there helped me connect to our community theatre and do shows with them. From there, i made friends that helped me find other shows in the area. But now I've moved to a new city and I feel like I'm starting all over again. although it has a lot of theatre, I don't have any contacts and don't know where to begin.

I like it as it covers all of the basics and is invaluable information to keep in mind. Improving Your Flexibility - 2007/12/31 11:32I love the tip on how to improve your flexibility since so many people don't do it properly and end up hurting themselves! You really do need to not stretch everyday, and so many people just launch into it and force their bodies to do things that they aren't ready for. Even though I trained for years, I've still torn my hamstrings and a novice can really damage their body if they don't do it right!Anissa

Speak the words of the song as if it was a monologue - as if you were speaking the words in "real life". Think about how you would naturally move if you were saying these words.
This has really helped me when preparing for an audition, because, being classically trained, I mostly just stand and sing, trying to let my face convey the meaning of the song. Treating the song as a monologue helps me so much---it makes me think beyond the music and beyond the words. It helps me find more meaning in the song and perhaps even layers of meaning. Sometimes treating the song as a monologue makes me choose a different song. I may find a beautiful song that I love, but after "monologuing" it, I find that there's just not that much to work with dramatically, so I choose a different song.

It has all kinds of goodies- the links are useful and it includes some stuff that we don't think about sometimes, even though after you read it you go- 'oh, right! duh!'

After being on a very long dance hiatus, I've been trying to find local jazz or tap classes. This article helped me to know what to look for. I'm planning to schedule a few drop-in classes with different schools and see what is best for me and most comfortable.

I liked this one because I have been given many chorus roles and not unstood why. I thought I wasn't important and I actually thought of quitting. Reading this article makes me feel like I do matter if I do get into a chorus role again.

I loved this article because it kind of gave me a "to do" list the get my dancing in order. I was a singer first and an actor second. My dancing was...something else. Even now I don't consider myself a dancer, but I'm certainly better off than I was before!

This was really helpful because nowadays, more and more theatre companies are holding business online. They tell you to email for an appointment, but they only give you an appointment to audition if they like your headshot/resume first! I submit online ALOT and this article had some things I hadn't thought of before.~*~ Kris ~*~
