First of all, work on breathing excercises- they aren't just for holding notes! I know they're dreadfully boring, but they help sooo much!
Also, be sure you're lifting your head a little bit on the higher or lower notes at the edges of your range- actually, kris gave me this tip, and it's worked for me.
Be sure not to push it too much- your voice is precious!
