That happens all the time with a group I work with. We hardly have any guys try out in the first place, forget getting decent performers. In Godspell (well, Godspell Jr, but there's not too much difference), two years ago, we had a cast of twenty people, which was divided as follows: seventeen girls, three guys (it could've possibly ended up eighteen-two, but the director decided to divide up Judas and John the Baptist). In the Gethsemane + crucifixion scene, the director had Judas kiss my hand (I was Jesus). Judas and I didn't really care - people, it's a hand. Our fellow cast, on the other hand *cough*, thought it was terribly funny that with the crazy ratio, there was still a kiss involving two guys. It was somewhat ironic, I grant you, but good grief.
