I GOT A CALLBACK!! - 2007/11/17 09:08So I auditioned for Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, and I did a perfect job on my monologue, but my singing had been so much better before, and I'm pretty sure the judges knew that. So just like an hour ago I got a call from the piano accompianist (who is one of my dear friends), and she said I have a callback for the 29th!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVE A SECOND CHANCE!!! Well, we'll find out monday, but they said "Thanks for making this so friggen hard!" Re:I GOT A CALLBACK!! - 2007/12/03 18:53Don't take the whole quitting thing to heart. That's just people being MAD JEALOUS because they only WISH they got roles as a sophomore. All that it means is that next year it may be harder for you to get a part because people will be trying harder against you and if they do quit, your director may want to avoid losing people. BUT BE VERY, VERY, VERY PROUD!!!!! congratualtions and break a leg. and prove to everyone who doubted you that you really are an amazing dorothy.
ps those quitters will see you opening night and be like oh...snap i should have totally stayed in...

If they want to quit, then they obviously aren't as commited as they should be. They should be thinking about working harder to get to where they want to be, rather then quiting. Do your best and don't let anyone get you down. Most of all, have fun!
