Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/04 00:10 I have a new song to put in my audition book (!) although I still haven't had a chance to fix it up yet. Stupid teachers...who gives homework and a huge memorizing test on the first day after break?! It's on my to-do list....as soon as my schedual opens up! (That's actually a rare occurance.)

Water is cheaper! Except for bottle water, which is just ridiculous. Sadly, the water fountains in my school are not filtered well and taste HORRIBLE if they sit for longer that a few minutes in a bottle. I'm starting to take one in my backpack and throw an extra bottle in my lunch. That way, I know I have at least two bottles worth I'll drink.

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/05 01:27 I really need to buy myself a waterbottle. I often spend over a day without drinking anything. That's bad.
The audition book is a very good idea! I'm not allowed to audition for anything for the next three years, but I guess it's the perfect time to do it *runs off looking for a binder*

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/05 12:41 I have a green nalgene water bottle that I bought for a couple bucks and put my name on it with a paint pen. It clips right on to anything, so it's always with me, and it looks cool, so I like carrying it around! The only thing I drink anymore is water anyway, because soda and sugary drinks just make me feel gross.

I already have a repertoire like the one mentioned in the assignment, but for the record, it isn't very organized. Haha. Guess I'll be working on that.

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/05 14:18 I'm trying to create assignments that everyone can work on in some way - you may have to modify it to suit your needs, but that's the way it is with everything.

One of the key features of this assignment is that it keeps you organized, so if you have a binder but it isn't organized, you DEFINITELY need this assignment. LOL!

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/06 05:50 Ha ha! Sad to say I did buy bottled water. two days in a row, and I meant to keep the bottle and just refill it everyday, but lost both bottles! It was sad and I still haven't acquired an audition binder. The opposite of Rent is Oklahoma!!! Why didn't I think of that?

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/08 00:32 You have one more week to complete our first assignment.

Don't procrastinate! Do it now! If you let yourself get behind, you'll get discouraged and you won't catch up.

This assignment should only take about 15 min to complete once you have gathered the supplies.

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/08 00:42 I had about 10 packs of tabs in the beginning of the year but they're all missing. Ugh. I do have a binder, clear pages, and my two audition songs. It's getting there...athough extremely empty. It's downright vacant. =]

I'm getting there!

I'm going to be drinking water like a mad woman for the next two days, between a game and an audition. Yay!

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/08 22:56 What a great idea! I'm trying to get back into theatre after a few years off so I was looking for tips and this is just great! I look forward to completing the challenges with you all! Ironically the first one you pick is one of the hardest for me...... I have an extreme Dr. Pepper habit that I am trying to kick so hopefully if I drink enough water I won't have room for the Dr. Pepper lol In the past I've used a regular old file folder for my audition things but I love the idea of the binder! I'm going to put mine together on Thursday once I finish collecting all the stuff I Want to put in there...... Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/09 13:47 Drinking water has been a part of my lifestyle for a while. I am a breastfeeding mother, so that is my motivation. Usually, that is all I drink in a day. I may splurge for a glass of 100% fruit juice every once in a while.

I actually started my binder prior to joining this site. It is very slim at this point. But, I will definitely arrange it better (once I have more diverse selections). Right now it is divided into songs I sing with my jazz band, songs I've had to learn for singing engagements and musical theater songs. Since they have all come in handy for auditions, I don't want to take any out.

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/10 16:26 Aaaw congrats on your little one DivaHuCares! Well I did it! I drank water all day yesterday and I only had 1 glass of Dr. Pepper with dinner. Yay! It wasn't that hard either whoo hoo! I've had 3 glasses of water today already too. I did what you all suggested with tying it to regular activities and it hardly took any thought at all to make myself do it but I do feel better today Alisson is currently: working on the stage crew for TMM and preparing for Music Man/My Favorite Year auditions

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/10 22:36 Ugh. Water drinking has been down for me. We're out of water in the house...I'm resorting to either iced tea or tap water. No, strike that, just iced tea. =] Shelby

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/10 23:33 Dr. Pepper is absolutely impossible to quit!! I know I should give it up, but if I don't have one with lunch everyday I go crazy. Why is it so hard??!! -Georgia

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/12 15:52 It's hard to get off soda, definately. It took me a while and sometimes I'd just rather have a Sprite!

We finally got another water jug in the house! Yay! Now I have something to drink.

Re:Center Stage Club Assignment #1 - 2007/01/12 20:10 I've been off of carbonated everything and caffeine for four years now. I quit cold turkey, it was pretty difficult (I had your Dr Pepper problem with iced tea). You just need to keep strong in your resolve.

And just remember that they use coca-cola to clean up blood from the highway
