Well she could be referring to a few things.
What I consider "scopping" would be sliding into your pitches your singing at the start of a pitch or the end of a pitch. It really throws off the intonation of a choral group quite a bit when people "pitch slide" as I call it.
- For some styles of music it's called for (Sometimes Vocal Jazz, R&B, Pop, Musical Theatre Pop styles) BUT choral singing, and classical singing is completely different even when doing musical theatre stuff it's necesary to be able to mold your vocal stylings into your character and still keeping good technique so you can sing for a long time. - Depnding on how your doing it, it may even be harsh on your voice and that's what you don't want. I haven't heard you so I can't say.
To eliminate it is simple, keep aware of what your singing because it could be something as simple as a lack of focus. Ultimately make sure your always listening to yourself even in a group.
I'd love to answer other questions you have any. If I didn't fully answer your qestion feel free to PM me and I'll get more in detail.
