Wardrobe job! - 2007/03/14 21:54Yours truly just got a job working for the 25th anniversary touring show of Cats when it comes to Red Deer! EEEEE!!!
I'm super excited. It's only a couple of days for unloading and set up the day before, then dressing and maintenance during the show, but still! A super professional show! Three days after graduating! And it pays!

She finds out tomorrow what part she has, but she is an amazing ballet dancer, so I bet it will be an awesome role. Re:Wardrobe job! - 2007/03/15 15:01wow, kathleen... that's so cool!! a friend of mine was in a touring cast and he is a choreographer. he ended up choreographing the NJ premier of the show and he used the B'way choreography-- somehow he has special permission through really useful to do so. i wonder if that can apply to costuming...They call me Jessica (like: They call me lady luck... lol)

I could definitely ask actors to take pictures with me if they're not in costume. I just know that when I did the backstage tour at the Lion King on Broadway, we were told we could take pictures of the theatre itself, such as the house and the lobby (great art nouveau decor, but I digress), but we were forbidden to take any in the wings on the stage because of set and costume pieces sitting there, and there are strict copyright laws with that.

I now have two more costume jobs lined up after CATS! I've just been asked to do costumes for El Muchacho (an adaptation of The Mikado that I'm auditioning for soon) and Passion at this year's Edmonton Internation Fringe Festival!
