Narnia - 2006/12/20 21:22 Right now I'm in a production of Narnia the Musical and it's been going really great. We opened on the 15th and we've done 8 shows so far. I play a hag and I'm also a pit singer. We got an amazing review in the paper yesterday and everyone whose seen it has loved it. The set design is so cool and the cast is absolutely fabulous. I'm doing it with a theatre group called Kids Who Care, so the cast of about 110 only has 8 adults. We run until the 23rd so if anybody here lives in the Fort Worth/Dallas area, y'all should definitely come see it. We're playing at the Scott Theatre: 1300 Gendy Street in the Fort Worth cultural district by the Science Museum and Will Roger's Coliseum. The phone number is 817-737-5437 and we have 7:30 pm shows on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 2:00 matinees on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $12 for kids 15 and under and $15 for adults. Please come see us! -Georgia

Re:Narnia - 2006/12/23 07:48 Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm the only Texan on these boards but it was worth a try. They put the picture up on shutterfly the other day, here's the link -Georgia

Re:Narnia - 2006/12/23 15:37 Beautiful set, costumes, and lighting!

I remember doing "The Magician's Nephew" (very similar) in highschool, but ours certainly did not look like that!

Re:Narnia - 2006/12/23 17:54 We are really lucky, the Fort Worth arts community was very supportive and a lot of people wanted to see us do a big musical, so we got a lot of donations and we had a producer's night where people pay $400 for 10 seats to help off-set the cost of production. Our tech crew was made up almost entirely of students and they worked so hard to put this all together. It cost a lot but it was worth it cuz everybody loved it. Our last show is today and I'm gonna be so sad when it's over. -Georgia

Re:Narnia - 2006/12/23 17:56 oh I forgot to say: In the pictures, I'm the younger one in the gray cape and sweater with the green face, moles and big gray eyebrows. Definitely not my best look but it was fun. -Georgia

Ooo, I love Austin! I actually spent the last 2 days there with my family. It's such a fun city. I'm glad I'm not the only Texan, I was starting to feel kind of alone-lol!

Re:Narnia - 2007/02/16 22:58 Pretty pics, G! I wanted to go audition, but the auditions were on the first day of Peter Pan rehearsals, and Mrs. Carlson wouldn't let me skip. I actually kind of like the costumes we used for the SSTVS production more... Ours seemed more put together. I didn't know Peyton, Kyle, and Taylor were leads!!! Hey yo!
Let's go to the mo-fro (Melody Freeze),
To get a fro yo (frozen yogurt),
then we'll stop by the scho-sho (Scholorshop),
on our way to WYSO (World Youth Symphony Orchestra)!

Just a little saying from Interlochen, possibly one of the greatest places on the globe!
