Church Choir Solo - 2007/11/19 20:06
I got a solo in church choir!!!  I'm singing the third verse of "Be Thou My Vision" arranged by Alice Parker. I sing the solo while the choir sings a descant. It's really pretty! My only concern is that we auditioned and found out on Sunday 11/18 and we sing in the service on Sunday 11/25 so I've had one chance to practice-a little scary. This is my second time to get a solo in this choir and so far I've gotten every one I've auditioned for, which is exciting. The director really seems to love my voice and after my audition he told me I have a very Celtic sound to my voice, which I guess is a good thing. Especially considering that he really likes Celtic music. Let's just hope he still loves me when it's time for auditions for the original musical we're doing this year.
