Made - 2007/11/28 17:12I've heard that the MTV show Made is coming to our school. I've never seen it, but I've heard it helps people achieve their goals, but it changes you from what you already are. For example, if a 'geek' wants to become a varsity soccer player etc. I do act, but I was wondering if you think they might still want me. You have to audition and everything, and I don't want to do something that the show wouldn't like. I am asking this of people who know the show. What do they do? Thanks! (I hope you understood that confused message! ) I've never ever auditioned for a tv show before, and I don't want it to be a show that humiliates me to the entire world...Current Show: Spitfire Grill Last Show: Laramie Project Next Show: Peter Pan

Re:Made - 2007/11/28 19:34Well, depends. How would you, honestly, stereotype yourself now? And what would your goal be?

Re:Made - 2007/11/28 19:52That's the problem. I'm a theatre geek. I'm a sophmore and have been in almost every show that I could be in at my school. I get straight A's. I read. I write. I love what I do. Does that mean I won't be able to audition for the show?Current Show: Spitfire Grill Last Show: Laramie Project Next Show: Peter Pan

Re:Made - 2007/11/28 19:54Made is supposed to take someone who wants to do something (normally they are completely inexperienced in the thing they want to do- for example, one girl who was not athletic at all wanted to be made into BMX racer). For that part of it, you might not be the best candidate. I've only seen it once, but it seems like they want to start completely from scratch. They bring in trainers, coaches, whatever you need.
I don't know whether to encourage you to audition for this only because I do not like reality tv and sometimes- not necessrily with this one, but with other reality tv shows- the producers, etc. make things happen the way they want it to. For example, people love to watch high school-type drama unfold, so if there is none, sometimes they'll stir some up. I would be very very careful if you would audition for this.Auditioning for: Brigadoon, theatre season, American Music Theatre, Into the Woods, Sound of Music, and AMDA.

Re:Made - 2007/11/28 20:21Starlet_actress is right- it could create a lot of drama! I watched an episode where they had the girl walk through the halls in a crazy pink shirt (she was a 'goth' wanting to be prom queen) and people yelled and threw things at her.
There. I just admitted to watching 'Made' every now and then.
Well, whatever you do, just be careful!-Ali

Re:Made - 2007/11/28 22:51errr. I don't want that kind of drama. I like what I do now. Acting is my passion, and I already do it... though I would like to get better at it. I don't think this show is for me.Current Show: Spitfire Grill Last Show: Laramie Project Next Show: Peter Pan

Re:Made - 2007/11/28 23:20Are they coming to your school because they are already doing something for one of the students or are they looking for someone to be "Made?" I am pretty sure that they audition the students from the schools to be extras in the hallways, classrooms, etc. because not everyone wants to be filmed to begin with. Plus, like Starlet_Actress21 said, they like to edit to exploit drama so they'll be looking for different personality types to cast in hopes of getting real conflict and if that doesn't work they'll try to set things in motion.~Annie Currently: Soloist for Night of Jazz fundraiser Recently: Miss Thorn (Ruthless! the Musical), Emma Carew (Jekyll & Hyde)

Re:Made - 2007/11/29 13:12A friend of mine was on Made, she was a chorus girl, measuring like 5'11, really white who wanted to be a Cuda Flava girl. It was difficult for her and everywhere she goes she in known as "that girl from Made."
If there is something you want to do in your life and you've no idea how to go about it I'm guessing the show would provide you with a good coach and helpful training. However, you could about it in a private manner.
Remember these shows record you even when all you want to do is be alone and cry. No one in high school needs to be under that big a microscope.Ally :c)

Re:Made - 2007/12/02 22:04im late, sorry, my computer broke down, but i would've said that it wasnt a really good idea either. well, i do watch it sometimes, and i think it would be so embarrassing. the show might make you leave your friends or break up with your boyfriend. or if you don't have one, they reveal who you like on the show, then everyone watches it. wow i wouldn't like that lol. and i really doubt you'll learn alot over a small period of time, no one on that show seems to. but yes, good for you *´¨) ¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨) (¸.•´ (¸.•´ Annie
