Re:Plot Ideas - 2008/04/11 21:00
Why don't you do a story about a GHOST in the theatre? Oh, wait, that is Phantom of the Opera! How about a boy and girl in high school that both want to get into the school play but the auditions are the same time as other extracurricular events? No, that is High School Musical! How about a little boy (or girl) who imagines things and gets into trouble? But I think that is Seussical!
This might be something: "The Secret Lives of Desks"! Personify the desks in a classroom by turning them into people and the different plot lines could be what happens in a high school from their perspective.
How about "The Ghost of Gifford Street High School"? A story about a kid who wants to ditch class, so he (or she) makes up a story about a janitor who died in the school, and whenever s/he doesn't want to go to class, s/he claims to see the premonition?
I have one more pitch: I can't think of a title, but whenever the school cafeteria serves (some sort of food) the principal player gets the gift of clarvoyance ...but doesn't realize that it is the food...or maybe her/his IQ goes up 50 points...or gets super powers. The trouble is, they need the super powers to graduate high school, and have to figure out what it is that gives them the boost.
If you don't like any of those, how about this? A street urchin in England thtat is taken in by a gentleman who claims he can turn her into a fine lady ("My Fair Lady?"), or a girl who gets drummed out of a convent and becomes a nanny ("the Sound of Music?)..........
