Broadway Showcase (Really need help with this) - 2008/05/04 13:17 First off, I need to give you the background. I'm in Girl Scouts (yippee...) and currently working on my Silver Award. I felt like tying in my love of theatre for the award, so that's what I'm doing.

My project is sort of a Broadway Showcase for the North Carolina School for the Deaf. What I'm planning to do is a selection of songs and scenes from musicals and have the characters sign along with the songs. I need a good selection of songs that relatively are easy to sign, no names (I really wanted to do Edelweiss, but since you can't sign that and it wouldn't make sense if you signed 'flower') and that most people know. Also have to be relatively entertaining, and you can find some form of accompaniment for. They can be from any period, and uptempo or ballad.

My ideas so far:
The Phantom of The Opera (like, a choral arrangement)
What Is This Feeling from Wicked
something from Hairspray
The Sound of Music
The Dark I Know Well from Spring Awakening
On My Own from Les Miserables

...that's all I've got. Please help with this!
