Re:Crying on cue - 2008/01/27 11:29 You know, I am glad you said that, Starlet_Actress21 about using something sad that happened in your own life as a tear trigger. I had an 8 year old neice that died recently. At first I thought that thinking about it could get me crying on stage, but once I thought about it, it seemed disrespectful.

I remember seeing Michael Caine in a movie called "Dearttrap" with Christopher Reed. He kills Reed and then picks up the phone and, on cue starts weeping bitterly, calls the police and says, "oh my God, someone broke into my house and killed (Reed)!" He hangs up the phone, wipes away his tears and keeps going about his diabolical plot. I saw that movei 20 years ago and I still remember that. I guess that explains why he gets so much work!
