Phantom/ School Edition/ CDD - 2007/09/01 23:39 hullo everyone

So, while searching facebook (it's like mayspace, but it's better), someone heard someone say that Phantom of the Opera might be closing in 2009, possibly to make room for the sequel.

WHAAAAAAAAT??

Yes i cried, even though it might not be true. lol.

And i've also heard that the rights for Phantom might soon be released; they are trying it out on 5 community theatres in the country, i think. But it's going to be like Les Miserables, a "school edition". NO ONE without lots and years of training can be Christine without the notes lowered. Yes, some people can sing them, like me, but it's just too demanding. Same with the phantom. But he has such a wide range, I dont know how that will be fixed....

But this stuff is NOT official. Don't go telling everyone that it is. lol. or i'll be in trouble.

I was just wondering if you guys heard about any of this. Or how you feel about it. Haha. bye!

Re:Phantom/ School Edition/ CDD - 2007/09/19 22:04 I know!!! some things just need to stay on broadway. How in the world can they make a chandeliere crash?? The only reason why I like it is so maybe I could have an easier shot at being christine jk.

oh yes, and phantom closing is still unknown..... maybe it'll last forever!! i hope LOL

Re:Phantom/ School Edition/ CDD - 2008/04/06 13:28 Aw, I hope Phantom doesn't close. (even though I've seen it twice onstage already and the movie countless times) I don't think there could be a Phantom school edition. There's too many special effects (punjab lasso, the boat, etc) ~Sarah~

Upcoming: Once On This Island, Footloose

Past Shows: Godspell, Damn Yankees, Little Shop of Horrors, Grease, Guys and Dolls

Re:Phantom/ School Edition/ CDD - 2008/04/07 12:51 Hay, you guys! ALW is writing a new sequel to the show. Check out his web site. He does video blogs all the time and talks about his auditions in England and his ideas for new shows. One of his topics has been the new sequel to Pof the O. I don't recall the web address at the moment, but if you google, you can find it.
