Call back for Secret Garden... - 2008/03/27 11:25
I had my call back for Secret Garden last night... there were three of us for the part of Lily. **I swear the words to "I hope I get it" were just flying around my head the whole time!**
It was pretty grueling vocally because we were being paired with each of the candidates for the director and producers to see how we all sang together in duet parts in the show... So I had to sing some really emotional, super high noted, heavy parts over and over again! (They're great parts so it was fun too, but by the end of the call back I was pretty tired vocally.. not to mention that it was almost 10 pm and had followed a long day of screaming and singing with my toddler! HA HA!)
But... before I even got home I got a phone call! I GOT THE PART! WOO HOO! I am soooo happy right now I can't even think! All I can do it grin like a fool. Praise God!
I really tried to focus on establishing a (quick) sympathetic relationship with each of the Archie's, Rose's and Collin's that I was singing with and I think it made a difference because the producer who called me specifically mentioned that they loved how one Collin candidate and I "bonded" immediately in the song.... It was awesome!
Okay I can't stop! I'm going to go scream and jump up and down some more! YAY!
