Newbie: Aida Audition - 2008/03/22 11:13
So Whats up everyone? I'm new, this site looks pretty sweet.
This afternoon I have 2 separate auditions for AIDA (the Tim and Elton version of course) and I've chosen to sing "Any Dream Will Do" for my vocal, which i think is a cool choice because its a young character who faces peril singing about how hes already overcome everything...pretty Aida-ish right?
The second is the dance audition, the chorus dancers are a separate call from the singers which is wierd to me because all of the dancers in AIDA have to sing at some point. but my gf and I are both planning on dancing for our lives for a couple hours today.
THE PROBLEM IS: I am in no way a technically trained dancer, the only dance "training" i have ever actually had is show choir, which isnt technical and a beginning ballet class when i was in a production of the nutcracker.
Any advice on preparing an untrained dancer for a dance audition?
